APPLIED ACTING COURSES
Finding Your Scientific Voice
A communication workshop for scientists delivered in collaboration with physicist Itai Cohen. Participants learn how to create a core message, harness the dramatic arc, use strong body language, improve their speaking skills, employ a dynamic beginning and signal a strong ending.
I have no words to describe how beneficial this experience has been, and what impact it has had on my career. It has opened my eyes to a completely new and mesmerizing way to talk about my research to other scientists....Thank to the relentless effort of the teachers to provide personalized feedback on several versions of our presentations, tons of hands-on exercises and video taping, I have corrected these flaws and improved my scientific communication skills. Actually, they have improved so much that I received compliments on my "excellent presentation skills" during two job interviews in private companies. One of these companies --a start-up in human genomics-- even offered me a position as a scientific communicator responsible for presenting the company's innovations at international conferences and to investors." Elodie Gazave, Plant breeding and genetics
